So, band practice at church Wednesday afternoon. Our drummer, young high-school girl shows up with a glass bottle of "coke". Can't get it open. I reach into my pocket and no SAK! I chose to carry my Buck 303 that day....
What the heck.... All I had to do was carry my Cadet/Recruit/Sportsman/Pioneer....? Lesson learned, Make sure I have one of these. I stopped at the hardware store on the way home. There's one in my guitar bag now.
I managed to get it open, at the risk of cutting a finger off with my Buck.

Can always pair the SAK with your stockman or ___.
No "rule" or (bogus) "law" that prohibits carrying more than one. 😇👍

I keep a Huntsman clipped to 03:00/15:00 belt loop pretty much 25/7/365.25.
The only time it comes off is for use, or I decide to carry a different SAK or a 4 blade Scout/Camp knife.
Since the scissors are used nearly every day, it isn't swapped out very often ... when it is, I have it with-in reach, clipped to my rollator.

Yup, it sucks not having a SAK :)
Been there, done that.
You know what else sucks? Having a SAK and not having the tool you need.
Thats where my ‘large and bulky’ Champ comes to the rescue. Always on my belt.

Any small screw driver can open a crown bottle cap. I've used the little classic SD tip many times bye just inserting the SDtip under the edge of the cap. and twist gently. Don't pry! Move the SD tip a bit and do it again. Do this a few times around the cap and it becomes loose enough to pop off with the edge of the nail file or even thumb. Using the knife blade you ar at even risk of either cutting yourself, or breaking the knife blade, or both. You can also use a spoon, folded up dollar bill, edge of a table, or lots of other ways. When our oldest son came home form his first semester at college, he showed us all the ways he'd learned from his frat brothers how to open a beer with no dedicated opener. It was good to know the money we spent on his education was not in vain!🤨

Just pop it with the closed knife. Or a lighter. Or someone else's phone. Or a Fabrege egg that's lying around.

What are they teaching in school these days!

And thats why my absolute minimum requirements for a tool are a knife blade and something that opens bottles/can pry stuff with .
Thus Victorinox and me get on real well :D
You'll never be caught short again

Sorry for the late response. Got locked out of the forum this week. I had a classic on my key ring, but it was the old style with the pointy file and I just couldn't get a grip. Music director got it open with his classic when I ran outside to get something out of my jeep. All worked out. Put a Pioneer in the glove box and been carrying my Cadet this week.

I opened a bottle of beer with a bic pen, spoon/fork, key, lighter, kitchen knife, if the object can produce enough leverage it can happen...
Some guy on YT used his belly button...
Just depends how strange you want to be
