Okay to flick open an Emerson?

Just bought a CQC-7 drop point and I am in love. Just wondered if most of you "flick" them open? This one is wave less and a right handed model. The lock is very tight and I tend to open it with a flick of my wrist. Will that stress/damage anything, or is this pretty much the expected way to open a wave less knife?

TIA

Keem in mind that many Emerson folders come with the wave feature. This is equally, if not moreso, harsh on the hardware of the knife. They're more than tough enough for this. Enjoy!

Indeed. The hard snap of the wave feature flicks the blade as hard, if not harder, than one can do with their wrist.

IMO a snappy flick will allow the lock to engage better than a simple limp opening of the blade.

it wont hurt them unless done obsessively imho, i wouldnt do it every time i open the thing though either, no reason to stress them when its not neccesary.
