Hello all,
I'm just wondering what the pros and cons are about the regular vs. the mini commander.
I've been in search for a quality SD knife and landed on the commanders. I really had my mind set on the regular commander, until I realized that I just might need to pull it out every now and then for utility purposes.
I would love to carry a separate knife dedicated for utility, but I usually just can't carry that much stuff. So, I began to think that the mini Commander would be less threatening when being "pulled out" for light utility and more practical for light cutting.
What are your thoughts on this? I know there are many loyal carriers of the Mini Commander out there, and I think it is probably because of its practicality.
But, assuming that I keep the edge sharp, and have the proper training (FMA), would you say that I would be able to rely on my Mini-Commander for SD almost as much as I would the regular Commander?
Just messing around with different sized knives, it seems like the smaller ones are much easier to maneuver, and may have an advantage for speed, whereas, of course, the larger blades have better cutting area, etc.
Sorry for the long post. Thanks for all of your comments in advance.
