I'm interested in getting a custom sheath for my BK9 or at least a nice tactical one that will hang lower on my leg like a Spec-ops, but they only make them for up to an 8" blade. I have looked into a sheath maker named Martin Swinkle in the Netherlands who impressed me very much with his customs for everything from an RC3 to a Busse Bushwacker Mistress and many in between. The Busse sheath is a very fitting option style wise yet won't actually fit as its for a 10.25" blade. I'm waiting for his response as to what it will cost to get one for the Becker but I worry that its gonna be too much and then quite a bit more for shipping. I'm hoping you guys/girls/martians will know of a few makers here in the states that can do what I'm asking at a reasonable price. Basically I'm wanting a nylon, leather, or leather/kydex combo that will have a firesteel loop and a pocket that can hold an altoid size kit or at least a lighter and stone. So if you can help I'll be greatful if not then maybe you're not real Beckerheads...;):D j/k I know you're all obsessed to the nines with these beasty ole thangs.
PS-If anyone personally owns a custom BK9 sheath, whether its the style I described or not please show me some pics, cuz it might change my mind about what I want. Thanks

I'm not a BH but here is my suggestion...I believe the maker is a beckerhead tho

Booyow!

Yeah,I've been wanting to get a decent sheath for my Camillus BK9.I can find Kydex, ready made for the Kabar 9,but not the Camillus one, which is .210" compared to .188".I hate to mail a blade off to have a sheath made, never done it.I'd be interested in a good nylon or leather one too.

Nevermind I see that my suggestion is moving and won't be making anything for a couple of months.

That's Goose_52. He makes a real nice drop right for the BK9 and 2. He also has attachment to put what you want onto the sheath.

If that's not what you're looking for I'll see what I can do to make one.
This is one that I made for Captain Airyca. She kinda likes it a lot.

Yeah and if you just want a good kydex sheath the ESEE Junglas sheath fits the BK9 great. I've heard several folks say that anyway. It's around $60.

kinda LOVE IT!!!

Seriously, Everyone should be jealous of this beautiful thing.

Thats a pic when I had the pouch thingy on the other side.

well, duh, of course i'm jealous of THAT.

it's a nice sheath too :>

This is a horizontal one I just finished but I could make a leg drop one in the same style no problem.

The makers I was gonna suggest MWTIC (Nick), Goose, and skystorm have all either been mentioned or have posted here. If you want kydex there are plenty of kydex sheath makers in the sheaths and such forum as well.

No need at all to go over seas and have one made, lots of people right here in the U.S. to do it.

Gotta send one to the cap'n and Gwenny to test drive and post pics. That's how you get your brands word out.

Most of you have seen pics of mine.

I like to be able to draw mine with one hand & not have to worry about cutting the retention strap/snap. Not only is the leg strap adjustable, it is also made of elastic-the entire thing. You can walk, work, stand, sit, squat, get into/out of vehicles, onto/off of atvs with no issues whatsoever. The inside of belt loop is covered in velcro, so you can put it on or take it off without removing/unbuckleing your belt, the O-ring is mega HD as is the nylon fabric of the belt loop. There is a nice thumb push also, to help aid in removing the knife from the sheath quietly. If you carry a side-arm as well, you can even have them make it for your weak hand carry, so there is no interference with anything else you are carrying. I can also swap the small knife onto either my BK7 or BK9 sheath or just carry it by itself with a tec-lock.Let me know if your interested & i will give you the name of the maker. I am reluctant to post it anymore because i don't think they are a sponsor on/of this site & i don't want to get into trouble by doing so. :D
