Found myself at the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial last week. Among the displays are piles of peoples keys, watches, wallets, etc. These items were found and used during the search and rescue efforts. One display was about a doctor freeing a woman from the rubble. One of the items he used was his pocket knife.

It is hard to put into words the emotions that this event and place bring about.

Thanks for sharing this. I agree, the events of that day seem to be lost within the scope of other tragedies. It's good to see that knives were utilized for a good deed, rather than for a malicious end.

Yes, and thank you all for looking. I found this specifically intriguing because it shows that how sometimes we fill up our pockets in the morning but you have no idea to what end those items might be used for. This small unassuming blade was utilized for a task that no one would want to be part of. It is also interesting to see it donated to the memorial. Being the proud Oklahoman/knife enthusiast I am, I was motivated to share this. I knew yall would understand the emotion and meaning. Thanks again for looking.

Thanks for posting this. The prayers to say are not even enough. Great Doctor to have these tools ready for use.
