Has anyone seen the Bush Series which is now being sold at Chestnut Ridge? I am trying to decide between that or the KaBar BK9. I like the beefier size handles on the BK9, but not sure which is the better knife.

i'm only famililar with the bk9. came with a decent bevel & was easy to bring to razor edge. backyard brush chopping gave good results. i would advise users of the ka-bar to add a lanyard & griptape.

I saw some after market micarta scales too, but kind of spendy considering the price of the knife.

I don't mean an original from Ranger knives, although that would be the best. I mean a plain old OKC RD9, instead of a bush series RD9.

Now I understand. Actually I did have one recently but felt like the scales/handle was kind of small for me. Kept having my fingers feeling metal. Don't know if aftermarket grips out there. Strangely enought I have a OKC Rat 7 and the scales on it fit me just right.
