ONTARIO KNIFE RANGER RD 7
Been thinking about picking one of these up....

any opinions would be excellent, thanks

I have a bunch of Rangers and a few from OKC. The 7 is a good all around size. Good for batonning and chops decent. If you convex the edge it will chop and slice better. The 5160 steel is super tough and I've put a few of them through hell and they did just fine. The coating is excellent for a coating. :D The handle scales are a little square from OKC and not as slim as the ones Justin puts on his Rangers. A few files and/or Dremel tool solves that pretty easy.

there good knives, my only beef is that i never had good comfort with there handles, but i may just have weird hands

I really like the clip point on these knives. The 5160 steel ain't bad either! The handles are sorta square and I took some sandpaper to them to round off the edges and now they are great.
