Anybody else going?

Tom Ferry and I are driving down for the day to hang out...neither one of us has a table. Just hoping to meet some new faces to match all of these names :)

I just got my free pass in the mail the other day. Can you name a few makers that will be in attendance? Thanks!

I managed to get the day off and hitched a ride with 4 other knifeknuts in the unofficial NWKC vanpool. We left at 4AM, talk about hardcore! It was worth it though, there is nothing more fun than a knife show. Mitch had a table full of grey and black folders, I think he's looking to finance a new custom. Looks like it's going to have a hefty price tag!:) I missed Nick and Tom though, I tend to get tunnel vision at knife shows. The show was real casual mis-mash of everything sharp. There were some great custom makers with tables or just waundering around. Wayne Goddard had one of his pieces at $150!(it was a little one I admit). Lots of very kool autos available (I like Oregon!). Bernard Levine was available to answer my antique knife question (the wierd blade on my old IXL is probably a cuticle tool, ah, the English, so civilized). I was able to sell/trade all my nolongergotahavem's and combined with all the cash I could muster, added 5 more treasures to my collection. As always, it was also a great social occasion. Thanks to OKCA for making it free for table holders and addmission. Can you beat that? On the way home we stopped in Salem to visit Northwest Knives & Collectables, a great knife store. Since they take plastic, I totally blew my budget on a new custom. I figure I saved on tax and shipping, besides, a new custom knife is good for you. I can't figure why I'm always in debt though. All in all, it was a great way to spend a day. Can't wait for the next show. Be sure to support your local or near by knife shows.

Mike-

I saw you and yelled your name a few times, but with all the talking going on you didn't hear me. By the time we made it over to where you were (only a few minutes) you were gone, and we didn't see you after that. Great disappearing act ;)

It was a long drive. I was dissappointed in the really low number of custom makers there, but it was fun as knife shows are.

Tom and I will both be attending the Northwest Knives and Collectibles show that they're putting on in January at the Salem Opera House.

Sorry we missed talking with you!

Nick

Hi Nick, Sorry, I must be deaf too! Maybe see you at the next NWKC meeting? Tom probably told you about our proposed new show site. How's that bowie coming along? See ya!
