Oklahoma folks? Sharpening issue

Is there anyone either from Oklahoma that could help me out with sharpening issues, or anyone that I can call? As I only have an iPhone to do this with and making lots of posts or long posts sucks. Thanks
CANNOT get rid of burr on ALL my knives.
 
I want to learn to use a stone. My grandpa could take the old stone out of his drawer, spend three minutes sharpening on it, and the knife would come off razor sharp and would stay sharp for a long time. I got a stone that I BELIEVE is similar to his but I'm failing miserably.
 
I live in outside of Stillwater and have had good luck with the Spyderco Sharpmaker. If you are up this way, I can meet you and try to help.
