Last year I bought an Oknife (Olight) Rubato 3 and really liked it. It had a rocky set of scales (uneven aluminum I think) in gunmetal with a coated 154CM blade. Today I just received the Rubato 4 with Damascus carbon fiber scales and S35VN blade. Both knives have crossbar locks. I am really impressed with Oknife's quality control, fit and finish and presentation. At $149 from Knifecenter, I wouldn't call it a "value" but still worth buying. They only made "3000" of these but they aren't particularly hard to get though they are sold out some places (frankly the Benchmade PSK carbon fiber is much much harder to get). I love the action I love the look. Not so crazy about the blade shape compared to the Rubato 3. But plenty of belly for draw cuts and utility. All in all part of my rotation. Thanks again to Kevin/Spark and Bladeforums. Supporting member. You guys are great. Edit::: the cut on my finger was actually from the Flytanium Arcade I just got with the Shark lock. I was trying to get it to more easily thumb flick and got caught. ;)

Yeah they either call it Damascus or raindrop pattern for carbon fiber but it looks sweet to me! That blade profile looks extremely useful and utilitarian. Price looks in line with country of origin as well as types of materials used.

Best yet it's not trying to be a bugout killer! It kind of looks like its own knife which is refreshing.

I hope you enjoy using it. Thanks for sharing

Thanks. Definitely not a bugout killer. I have an Olight Mettle 2 and Olight/Oknife Rubato 3. And as much as I love the scales on this new model, what really impressed me was the improved action, fit and finish and detente on the crossbar lock. Definitely quality control improvements all the way round. Oknife is uping their game. And they have my attention. Thx.

Olight knives are made by Kizer. No surprise that the quality is good.

Thanks. I own a number of Kizers. And the general consensus, I’ve seen within the knife communities that they make the best crossbar lock. I think they call it a clutch lock. The action and the detente on this Rubato 4 are the best I’ve seen all my crossbar lock knives. It’s just much much higher quality. If that’s what’s coming in future Kizer knives, they have my attention.
