I got a package from Brian! Man these sheaths are Sweeeet! They truly are something else. The fit and lock-up is perfect. I got to talk to him on the phone for a while last Tuesday night and he really is a cool guy.

My SJT LE just told me she wants some pants too. :D

Thanx for sharing the sweet pics, Silas. That color combo is nice:thumbup:

Very, very, nice.

Just curious, but how hard do you have to yank to extract them from their sheaths?

Theres really no friction on the blade, it's more of a snap-in, or out, deal. It's really not that hard to get them in or out but when their in they feel very secure. I think I read on his site that they are fitted to withstand a 18" drop upside down without the knife falling out, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Brian does quality work!!!!.... and its definitely worth the wait.... and we're all familiar with the Quality you get when you wait ;)

Congrats! Brians kydex is the SH!T. My SJTs wear these pants and they fit perfect. I like that I can push off with my thumb and release the handle, and the blade follows flawlessly with little to no scuffing. The only friction fit sheath I've seen that is tighter is Dwayne's (Armoralleather) BADASS. Thanks for the pics!

Very nice.

Would it be possible to get a pic of the IWB sheaths being used? I would like to see how low they ride.

Thanks for the pics.

Do you always have to send in your knife?

Not always. It best to email him first to see if he can do yours without having to send it in. His work is absolutley first class.

The IWB is what I want when/if I ever get the funds. Is that an Active Duty or Heavy Duty? @What is his wait time? If you don't mind me asking how much were the IWB rigs?

Thanks,
GregB

Got to also say Brian's work is absolutely first class!!!

I just got two A-2 sheaths for my HDs and I am extremely happy. The lock up is tight, the sheath is low profile, has a high quality feel. I got the IWB and Tek-Lok attachments.

Regarding price you can check www.okuden.net but the listing for the A-2 sheath is:

up to 5.9" blade: $57.75
5.9-11.9" blade: $68.25
add $10.50 for Camo colors or secondary retention Device (thumb snap etc.)

Regarding time for delivery, looks like its about 8-12 weeks since Brian's daytime job is keeping him busy. See the below thread.

All I can say is if you are thinking of getting a sheath from Okuden you can't go wrong. Then again you can't go wrong with Dave Brown (www.buybrownholsters.com) or Dwanye (www.armorallleather.com) for kydex or leather.
