Well, I sent my #10 BWM LE into Brian to have him work his magic on a sheath for me. I plan on making #10 a user, maybe even my primary camp knife.

So first I need all your opinions. I have a little time before he starts making the sheath and I can't decide whether I want a drop leg or tek-lok.

Which do you prefer and why for a knife this size?

And if a drop leg, do I get the leg strap too?

Also, if you are considering getting kydex for your BWM, I have given Brian the OK to use my knife to make other sheaths. So here's your chance to get a sweet sheath from him without having to send your knife in.

Let's hear what style sheath you all prefer.:D

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the tec-loc Oeser, beings i always tie my sheath down to my leg whenever possible. But just have him send it to me along with #10 and the tec-lock and leg drop dangler when he's done. :D I'll do a through field test and get back to you. :p :)

Drop IMO. Then it moves with you when you sit down and move around. Instead of just "pivoting" at your belt. Can u get a tech lock also and remove the drop loop and try both ways? U may end up needing the teck lock for something else anyhow.

I think i would like to get a drop leg for mine.....How long do you have to wait to get ur sheath ?

I think I would go for a drop leg too bro. I would do a leg strap but be able to remove it too.

Let me know what you think of it after you beat the shiznit out of it.

I would get a drop leg for sure and possibly even have him rig a dundee strap for you, perfect size blade to wear like that imho

Thanks for the great ideas all. I hadn't really thought about the fact that if I order the leg drop I can always strip it down and put a tek-lok on.

Silver, any ideas on how to run a dundee strap on kydex. I haven't seen that before.

Great looking knife.

I would go the drop leg route, carrying a ten inch blade at hip level kind of sucks.

Get the drop loop and leg strap slots for sure. The only way to go on a blade that long. In my opinion, that is too big for belt carry with just a TL. I've carried a few BM's of various weights around the woods so this is from experience.
Brians sheaths will all accept a TL should you decide to use one.

OK, it's done. Drop leg with leg strap (what Brian calls an A7-T) is in the works. Man I can't wait to get it and test this blade out.

Just FYI, Brian said to let everybody know that he is taking orders for BWM LE sheaths while mine is in, so order while you can.

No pics yet. He is going to be working on it soon. Also anybody that wants to order a BWMLE sheath from him, now is the chance.

Not my picture.
Hope it helps.
