I just wanted to give kudos to Brian for making some awesome sheaths. I've got a Spartan Blades Ares & Enyo, an MD Caldwell, and a Emerson La Griffe in his custom kydex.
The La Griffe sheath is a replacement for the standard one (knife was falling out of the old sheath). I EDC this knife horizontally in a high movement area of my belt, and it has not fallen out once, yet with intent, comes out super-smoothly.
The Ares gets carried inverted on my belt, and is the same as the above - very secure, yet comes out easily.
The sheath for my Caldwell accidentally released once or twice utilizing inverted carry, on the belt with a lot of movement (probably because I did not snap the blade into place properly). As I use this knife while backpacking and hiking, I asked Brian to modify the sheath to be extra tight. He did this promptly and was a joy to deal with. I have had no further problems since the modification.
I have only carried the Enyo a little (in a pocket, and inverted neck carry). I haven't put any unreasonable stress on the sheath, and haven't had any problems.
To sum it up, my Okuden sheaths are very comfortable, have plenty of options for position of carry, are secure and have absolutely no rattle. They are well worth the money.
Thanks Brian!
