New as a member btw but lurked for years.
I was looking at various knives as a large 'survival/chopper' so forth and I basically I am leaning to a BK&T, recently bought some Eskabars as gifts and like them ok.
I had however looked at the Ranger Series in particular the Bush RD's which is where my question comes from a certain online retailer I like to use states that these are 1095, while on the Ontario website (which has to be the worst I've seen in years) it sez 1075. Now I own some 1075 stuff mostly Condor and some tools, and I've noticed a tendency for the edge to roll if I 'abuse it', I'm generally pretty easy on my knives but I'm looking at a 7-9" blade that is gonna get thrashed on. And I'm hesitant if I can't get the straight dope on what these are made of, as price point it's a smidge cheaper than BK&T, and I already know that most will say get the Becker, and most likely I will. Just seeking some clarification.
