good lord, that is just incredible.

Love how you did the guard and the spacer behind it. It has the look of an old flint rock pistol.

Wow, what a wonderful whirlwind of beauty! I'm still scratching my head over that junction of blade-ricasso-tang, guard, spacer and stag... :confused::thumbup:

Your artistry and craftsmanship are a joy to behold!!!

Gerhard that is just stunning love the flow from tip to butt, and I really like the Wrought guard.

Thanks for sharing.

Compelling lines and a stunning blend of materials and textures. Wow, what a beauty!

Exceptional!! Your S-guard is reminiscent of a Renaissance left handed parrying dagger. Your intent was realized.

That is simply beautiful! Excellent execution and the sheath compliments it very nicely!

Very, very nice.

And very recognisable as one of yours!

Always a pleasure to see your work!

Kind regards,

Jos

Don't think I have ever seen a knife/sheath of your making that I was not absolutly crazy about, and this is no exception.

Anyone whose not familiar with Gerhard's work search this forum for his threads and you are in for a treat.

thank you all very much for taking time to post-
I appreciate that you like this knife!

@john white,
john, the matching piece of sambar makes it so easy to install flowing lines-
without such a piece- no chance...

@genovovich & grapewine,
indeed, the looks of an old flint roock pistol and a lefthand-dagger were in my mind.

@kevin jones,
thanks for your statement, kevin, this means a lot to me!

best regards
gerhard

Another EXCEPTIONALLY nice knife Gerhard. You do great work. The "flow" on this one is amazing! VERY nice sheath too!

Peter

The silouette shot had me. I absolutely love everything about this one from the tip to the carved frog on the sheath. The use of materials and textures is in it own class but the overall shape flows like a river.

To say this knife is "simply gorgeous" is an understatement. I keep looking at all the reasons why it is. The variety of texture, color, and interesting joinery to achieve the overall image that is so beautiful, epitmizes art.
