Here is one we just finished up for a forum member, and figured I'd share it here as well.
She was given the name Ol' Bessie.
She is a much larger version of our first recurve fighter design.
Specs:
3/16 1095
Flat ground, with a swage grind.
Differentially heat treated, hand rubbed to 800 grit, acid etched.
Purple Heart scales with 1/4 Stainless tubes.
Overall: 14 3/4"
Blade Length: 9"
And a wicked all leather custom tooled sheath to match the Purple Scales.

What do you guys think?

Very nice ! Very impressive Blade. Like the "wood boards" on the sheath.

One question - did you use stabilized purple heart, or do you find this wood has enough natural resin ?

Thanks Astrowood,
This is not Stabilized, I find that the seasoned purple heart is extremely dense and oily(it works a lot like ebony just purple) and I have seen no shrinkage or warpage problems at all with the batch I have.

I have to say she turned out nice guy's!!! I love it!! I am waiting for Miss Mae next!!!
