Y'all know I cant leave anything alone for very long :o I went in and revamped the pin lock and now it sits so close to the sheath that it seems part of it. Before it kind of hung out a little far for my taste.

This is the "Ultimate HOSS" which includes the "dundee rigging" Its getting too dark now to take the pics, the wife was out when I took these. But I will take some pics on how to rig this thing so everyone knows how ta do it. :D

Look how close this thing rides to the sheath! Yes, I am very proud of my innovation. ;) :p

PIcs of the dundee in action tomorrow afternoon. I hate cookie season. :grumpy:

Outstanding leatherwork, Dwayne.

Can you explain how the "pin lock" works?... I've not seen one before.

Thanks.

Sweeeeet Dwayne. If I didn't know any better, that could be coming my way couldn't it? :D

The pin acts as the retention device by fitting in either the talon hole or the choil (depending on the design) and preventing blade withdrawal. There's no way to cut the strap while inserting/removing the knife from the sheath.

Nice Dwayne, I like it! I really like the color too. What's the purpose of the two bands around the sheath?

Those are for rigging the sheath to a pack strap, or straps in general. A buddy of mine wanted to attach his small knife to his pack so we came up with this type of rigging. I liked it so much now its an option. :)

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. :D

btw, its been suggested that I re-name the pin lock so its not so close to the Masters name. Anyone got any suggestions?

Paddlingman also had a great variation on my business name! ArmorAlleather, y'all think that would help new people to keep it all one word? I'm on the fence about it so far.

How about the Stud-Loc? You can tell folks you named it after yourself.

That HOSS looks sweet. Love the new pin loc. Make mine just like that please. My SFNO thanks you.

wow, awesome work!

I want to be Dwayne when I grow up!

I'm currently working on my own leather sheath, and have found new respect for all the sheath makers out there. It ain't easy, takes alot of work and craftsmanship.

Dwayne: thanks for emailing me back, I appreciate all your advice!

That's some fine work Dwayne. I love the white thread against the light leather. Edges are sweet. As always, tremendous attention to detail. The back is awsome, every stitch in place. In every way, a sheath I'd love to own. Damn near perfect work.
Thanks for those pics.

Hey Dwayne,

don't forget the dundee pics when you get a chance

Sorry guys, it got dark before the wife got home today, darn Girl Scout Cookie season! :grumpy:

I will take revenge and eat as many as I can!!!! bwahahahahahahaha, eh wait.
