Does any body know what Paul is up to @ buck these days? The reason I asked I've noticed "BOS" on a few high end knifes over the last few yrs. I.E my Bravo. The second I saw it I assumed it was a Paul design or the very least heat treat. I dont know maybe 2 yrs ago I thought I read/heard that Paul all but gave it up. That he just hung around and gave advice. Paul is the only "BOS" relation to Buck that I've ever known of. I guess what I'm asking is if the BOS on these knives related to Paul and if its Pauls designs or special treat?

IIRC, he is semi-retired. Buck still uses his heat-treat formulas for their production steels, though.

He taught some people at Buck his heat treat, and then retired from the production business, and I think he is only doing custom work now.

I guess I should have gotten on here last week, We just got back from a trip to AZ. Paul Bos heat treating will continue with no delays. Paul Farner will be takeing over the Custom heat treating . I will be still be working for Buck as a Consaultant. And make tripes to Post Falls as needed. Not to good on this Computer thing. But I will try to answer any Questions you may have.
