Hey all,

I recently bought a Wayfarer 247 off of eBay and it should be arriving tomorrow. The individual selling the knife didn't have a photo of the card in the listing when I purchased it and responded later with it and it doesn't match the description/pictures of the knife unfortunately. He claims he had the blade swapped out, which could very well be true, but the rest of the knife doesn't match the description of the card. Anyhow, I was wondering where or if there is a serial number located on the knife itself to be able to match up and see if it is correct? Thanks for the help!

email Olamic. They're very responsive. No one better than they to tell you what's what.

The Serial number for Olamics is always on the inside of the backspacer, open the knife and look inside. If you don't see it...

You probably got taken for a ride.

It's been said already, but get in touch with Olamic directly and they'll know exactly if the knife is legitimate and what style it left their shop. The serial number is on the inside of the backspacer once you open it, the one I sold had something like T687 on it.

Quiet Quiet is correct, it's on the inside of the knife on the backspacer. It has a Letter indicating the blade shape and the S/N. Mine starts with an H for Harpoon, I would imagine T is for Tanto, S for Sheepscliffe and so on.
O OlamicCutlery can probably weigh in themselves here or if you Email them.

Thanks for the help everyone! I was just trying to make sure there was an actual SN located somewhere on the knife itself. And as far as eBay goes, F falar , I do 90% of my buying on here, but most all of my experiences have been good. Just because you buy something off of eBay doesn’t mean you’re getting a bad product or are being naive in my opinion. And just because you buy something off of BF doesn’t mean you are getting a quality product in my experience. Even if you are getting something wrong on eBay, if you are smart and utilize PayPal on top of the eBay guarantee, you are pretty well protected from being left holding the bag. Thanks again everyone for the quick help, it’s much appreciated!

Send me a link to the listing if it's still up or photos of the knife itself once it arrives and I'll be able to tell you all about it. If the seller mislead you as far as the condition and/or function of the knife itself, then let me know, because the warranty still applies and we do have a free spa service.

Replied with a personal message and thank you very much for offering to help me out with this. This is my first adventure into the Olamic world and it speaks volumes about how in touch you are with your customers if you noticed this thread and are willing to help. Again, thank you very much!
