Went to the town where my daughter used to go to college and found an early 110 in very good condition for $30. It`s marked Buck USA on the blade, with no dots. It also only has one rivet in the handle, the one for the lock bar. I know it`s an early one but does anyone have an idea of how old?

If it has just the one rivet for the spring holder in the back where a lanyard would be on many other knives its from the 60s. Even if it has two it can still be a 70s knife and as I recall both those from the 60s and 70s were 440C blade steel and not the 420HC they currently use.

The older ones are square. Not made with the bevel you see on the brass like today. Here are some pics I had on my hard drive of some older ones.

Here is a 60s 110 that was posted the other day here by another forum member. Hope he doesn't mind that I snagged his shot to use here.

Note the one single brass rod holding the spring holder in place in the rear by his home grown lanyard. You have to look hard, but if you study it or enhance the photo you can just make out the single rivet in the back and one about the same size in diameter used in the pivot.

If it looks like this one... Blade Guide says it is RARE. .. Third Version '66-70,

Buck added the USA in 1967, so this one is a '67-70
