Well I stand corrected. Earlier in a post I said I'd like to try out an older 110 but they are usually worn out or too high. Funny thing is after looking I noticed a few today thats not to ridiculasly priced. One looks a little worn the other looks real good to me. Humm temptation. Both look to be 2 dots. Not real sure what year that really puts them at.

I have found old 110's for 20 bucks and under. I never seem to be able to land a 3 dot but I have quite a few 2 dots and a couple before the dots.

Hey kyhunt, look at the "sticky" threads about 110/112 data sheets, and the buck date code thread ( yellow highlighted threads) at the top of the Buck threads...there is all you need to know and more in those three threads.
You will need to click on Joe Housers Documents to open them up. Very valuable info in those threads if you take the time to study it.

I bought a bunch of 2 dots nib only to get them and some were 2 dots, one 3 dot and one 4 dot.I think they are great knives built to last.

Humm well maybe I didnt do too good then. $25 and looks like it might have to make a trip to spa. Oh well geuss thats what I get for being impatient. I'll look at that sticky.

Well even if I spent a little too much, even after spa treatment I'm not out alot. Really just want to try one out. I read trhrough the sticky and ended up getting my "Blades guide to knives and their values" it had a small section on 110s also. I'm sure this one isnt a beauty queen thats coming but I can wait on one of those. I geuss I never realized the diferent variations until now. Opens up a whole new world for me. By the way skealtor congrats on your find.

If I paid 25 bucks for a 2 dot that went to the spa and came back real nice, I would say I did well. You certainly can catch them for less, but you may wait a while.

Thanks, I'm not disappointed in the purchase. I'm just anxiously awaiting for it to get here.
