Ok I just received an old benchmade 910 Stryker in a trade. The guy I got it from says it's Ats-34 and Im not disputing that but I want to know for sure as it's not stamped on the blade and there was no box with the knife although it is in new condition. The blade reads as follows: clip side says Elishewitz and has his logo and a patent # under his name. Opposite side has the butterfly with Bali-song in the middle and below that says benchmade USA. Also the clip says benchmade USA. It is a plain edge tanto blade. Here's a couple pics. Any help from you walking knife encyclopedias would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ben.

I think I'm an idiot I can't figure out how to put the pics on here. I'm using an iPhone to post. I can email pics but when I click on the pic icon and it wants a URL I don't know what to do from there.

Definetly ATS-34. The later models came in 154CM which is listed on the blade. I happen to own both. One from 1998 and the other from 2004. Allan Eleshewitz worked for Benchmade and now he works with Hogue Knives. It was his design. I would guess he based it off of the Benchmade 975 Emerson model. Later, Allan left Benchmade and they dropped his name off the blade. At the time all Benchmade knives were made from Hitachi U.S.A.'s ATS-34 and later Benchmade switched to Crucible's 154CM. Basically the same steel just made by seperate companies.

I have the old ats-34 model without markings , but was curious so I checked out
Benchmades 910 page , the steel listed there is D2 , so if anyone can confirm ,

was the 910 made in , ats-34 , 154cm & D2 !?

1234,,,,,,:)

This was my dad's, i dont know what steel it is, the blade dosent say - i think he bought it in the late 90's or so. The box dosent say either, i pulled it out of my safe and dusted it off so you can see the box.

Yup that's the exact same knife I have too. It's definitely ats34 thanks for the input. You guys rock.

Goodness, I do miss my old 910 Stryker. It was my ideal carry knife.

I got rid of it, thinking I could always get another one. Jokes on me again. I can't own autos here, so the current line of Strykers are beyond my reach.

The Stryker truly is an amazing knife. It looks like Allen E. poured his heart and soul into that fantastic design. After years of letting my Stryker rest, I've picked it up again.
