Did a lot of artwork back in my college days. I've been bringing them to the shop one by one getting them refurbished, reframed, etc. Slow work as I dont have any spare time to speak of, but its important to me to get these peices back to life. I've updated the "found objects" to include some familiar pieces. I'll add more as I get them out and photographed, I really need some better lighting and better camera. :o Forgive my poor photo skills, I will get some good pics sooner or later as I get a decent camera.

These two are part of a triptich (three parts) I did for some graduate work. They are not in good shape, :( Got lots of work left to get them back into fighting form. :)

This one is the center piece, three panels in one, I was, and still am, very interested in Japanese culture.

The third is coming off the wall this weekend for a tear down and clean up, I'll get pics of it soon.

The medium is Prisma Color, high end colored pencil and bar, on a black museum board. The center piece has more to go on it, I ust have to find the wire and such, its a complicated piece to say the least. I've got two small pieces that were refurbished a few years ago that I'll get pics of this weekend as well.

I've also got a ton of prints from my printmaking classes, both under grad and graduate work, those are some of the most "interesting" :p

Its time I showed this stuff to someone, I never had an undergraduate show, so I might make this thread my "virtual show" :D

Very nice! I look forward to seeing more, and would really like to know more about inspiration, choice of images and influences of media choices. Very iconic work, unlike any I've seen. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, those are pretty cool looking! Would you able to carve those samurai masks into a leather sheath?

Nice work Dwayne

But I've been in your office -- not sure you have a spot big enough for artwork (with all that leather and infi laying around :D )

VERY COOL!!!!

I can't draw or paint to save my life-so I admire those that can----

I'm new to the Busse Family-have a Hellrazor coming.

What are the names of the Top 2 knives in the last photo???

   :D VERY cool!!! Artistic much?? Thanks for sharing some with us!

Many thanks! :D Aside from leathercraft, fine art is a special passion for me. I hope to get some time tomorrow to take a few more pics.

I'll have to dig out my "Artists Statement" its a whole lot of words that basically says that I'm fascinated with all things tribal, basic instinct, and how some of the most fearless warrior nations have "evolved" through time. Bare bones, and clay faces are some other inspirations.

Hey William, the first two in order are an A2 Mean Street and an A2 Badger Attack. That trio raised the value of that particular part of the tryptic astromomically. :)
