It's an inexpensive relatively modern knife. Don't know the exact age. Pakistan is a good guess for the country of origin.

It's easiest and probably most effective to use an image host instead of facebook. Don't use photobucket either. I use imgur. Another one is tinypic.

I don't have much to add beyond what supratentorial supratentorial had to say. He's a pretty knowledgeable guy. I just wanted to say more generally, after clicking through the link in the first post I could see the knife in question, and my thought is to consider the knife primarily based on sentimental value. If it feels good in the hand, and you like the memories it brings then carry it. If it is kind of meh for use, but you really liked your uncle, hold on to it. I know that I prize knives and other tools with family connection, even if they aren't particularly fabulous examples. And that Barlow seems usable to me.

In my limited experience, that brass pin in a silvery (don't know if it's NS or something else) bolster means Pakistan. I have a few from the 70s or 80s somewhere. I'd like to pry the horn off one of them if it would fit my coverless Kutmaster.
