Old Barlow

I got an old Barlow in a box of old knives I traded for.

I posted pics on Levine's forum, but I thought maybe some of you gentlemen here might like to see it.

I put a Case Slimline Trapper under it for size comparison.

I don't know if it is a real one or if it is worth much, but here it is...

Looks like a Russell to me. I have a similar one in a clip blade that also looks like a Russell to me. But if mine had a tang stamp it's worn off.

Is the spear point as common as the clip in these?

I don't know. I see mostly clips, but I also see mostly Imperials and Colonials that aren't terribly old.

I got some pretty good pieces out of there.

An old Case Moose, an old vintage Queen City with pretty nice bone scales, an old Case XX jack knife, to name a few of the better ones.

Maybe mine's been re-bladed- that's an awfully deep stamp to have worn off completely.
