Anyone have a pic showing the old Basic Res-C handle next to the New Basic Res-C handles?

Or an old Basic next to a Scrap Yard knife with the same handle as the new Basic Res-C (I'm assuming the new Basic handles share the same mold as the Scrap Yard knives)

Thanks,
-Ed

it is my understanding that this new series of basics use the scrapyard handles so this B6 will have same handles as say Dog Father

Which is to say the new Res-C handle has a slightly greater girth than the original, old-school Basic series.

Not from what I felt - the new handles have a square edge - A little larger in Dia, but square on the bottom

Less Ergo = More grip IMHO

More girth, but same length? That would be even better.

Its all about the girth, not length :D

I'll get a Basic 6 and it'll be awesome - but, I really prefer the original Basic handle over the newer Dogfather one... Wonder why they kept them on the B4?

What about the old Basic handle do you like over the newer one?

Found some nice comparison pics here:

It's a thinner handle and not as long and just fit and filled my hand so much better - I feel like I get a much more secure grip bc of this and it just locks in. It's also hard to explain but the texture of the Res c feel different to me on the older basic handle - almost "silkier" if that makes sense. But this is just what I like and differs from others - I do not like mag handles, some love them... It's all about finding what works for you :)

But again it's not a deal breaker or even something to complain about - there will most likely never be a 100% perfect Busse and also be something that we would like to change - and that's ok :)

Here is a pic of my former Basic 11 - they sport the older handle.... Obviously these are not in scale w eachother, but you can sort of see where the grip dips up right below the hilt more pronounced on the 11 - where your pointer finger would wrap - this gives me a better secure feeling grip. Maybe someone has a dogfather and a B11 they can put together and give a top shot - that's where the biggest diff is seen.

I like the "dog father grip" better than the original ones. beefier feel to me/ more hand filling.

Personally I find no real difference ... my DFLE and Basic 9 and Basic 11 are all just as comfortable to use.

I like the grip of the old Basic 6. That's why I kept a couple of them around.

I wear XL/XXL gloves, and it feels fine in my hand.

The grip on the B11 seems a bit thinner to me, but that's just my $0.02.

YMMV

Here is my dumpster mutt in the comparison

Dumpster Mutt handle is quite a bit smaller than the B-11 and the Dogfather handle

B4 has the new War Dog grips, those I love, that is going to be a sweet blade
