Hey all,
So I got this old Bear MGC Lockback from my dad a bit ago. I love the knife itself, but I'm really into easy one handed opening and closing, so I don't carry it a lot. I also carry my 25-ish year old Leatherman Supertool (which I also got from my dad), and I carry a fixed blade some of the time, so I would prefer my EDC to be in pocket, not pouch carry. Anywho, I just wanted to get some opinions on what the steel may be. It's not for any serious reasons, just for curiosity's sake. I know it is stainless, easily gets razor sharp, and keeps its edge better than my 8cr13Mov, or my 12c27. Also, since Bear MGC turned into Bear and Sons, and then got bought out by Kershaw (I believe), I am assuming this knife is fairly old. I'm guessing something in the 400 series? I'd appreciate your guys' thoughts.
