hey, here's a blast from the past... a lot of non-camillus beckers:

right to left:
BK00 ;> (reinhardt)
BK01 (brute)
BK02 (campanions, sterile epoxy/powder-coat and nickel phosphate)
BK03 (dive tool)
BK05 (fisk magnum camp)

and a mix of campanions, right to left:
epoxy/powder-coat, nickel phosphate, camillus/micarta, serrated, standard

and a band of mach-axen, right to left:
nickel-phosphate, epoxy/powder-coat, strange plate, blued, camillus standard

and inspired by guyon, an orgy of beckers:

enjoy!

my friend Matt in cal. gave me this hollow ground Becker companion. i put the micarta grips on it like you have . the question i have is was it made hollow ground or did some one do that to them after. my friend had three and kept one for his self gave me one and one to his other buddy since you have so many i thought you might no thanks for any help

Nice collection. Beckers are some of my favorites. Hopefully someone will make them again and the will be equal to or better than the camillus madedbeckers.

i don't know anything about hollow grounds... sounds like someone did a mod. common and good thing to do, and if the heat treat wasn't hurt, a carbon-V blade that would rock. take a picture and show us :)

very cool collection.

i still have hope that BK&T will start up again.

you really don't know what you have or had till it's GONE.

Thanks for the pics of the old Beckers...like to get a BKOO - but looks like I'm a day late and a nickel short...well more than a day late

Question...what's the differences between the Crewman and Campanion?

about $30 to $150? :)

the original (old) campanions were very nearly 1/4 inch thick. the camillus ones were a little thinner and had a coating.

the crewman is much more thin, has a different edge profile, a coating (of course), and a thumb ramp, iirc.

Holy Moly Bladeite....

The only and I mean ONLY machax variations I believe you are missing are the warrior model and one of the real early ones with riveted walnut scales......I am headed to western NY in the morning so please remind me next week of your awesome support and I may feel compelled to reward you in some way......

all best...

heh :) wow. interesting :) you may not recall, but back in the day, a kid from NH would call you couple times wondering if a machax was what he needed, and you assured him "yup", even offered to sharpen it for me. told me that a campanion was the only thing needed to field strip a buick :)

i do love me my Beckers, but especially the MachAxen :)

i have seriousy tried to get a warrior. the first one must've been a reject of some kind but was sold "as mint"; the metal was flaking/delaminating in several places. returned it, and caused a ruckus! oh my. another two were missed out on - "just sold". aww darn :)

have a safe trip! and rewards? aww shucks, twernt nuthin' :)

thankee

which reminds me :)

have you seen the pictures of the old literature i scanned? there's quite a few threads where the camillus clan saved as much information, web site captures, and so forth as we could before the end.
