I have a Kukri I received many years ago and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.It has the typical handle scales like are on the new BKandT,has around a 12-14 inch blade?and has a shiny grey looking coating. Also has a black leather sheath with 2 belt loops on it.I have had this knife for over 10 years and it seems like not long after I got it I no longer saw any of these knives until recently with the emergence of the new BK's.Anyone have any info on value or when these were produced?

Hi Hey Marsupial...

The Kukri that you have was a collaborative effort with Hank Reinhardt of Museum Replicas fame. Hank is without doubt one of the most knowledgeable, non Ghurka, Kukri experts anywhere.

The blade is of the same profile as the Reinhardt Blackjack Kukri, but of thinner stock. The BK&T version is a light , fast kukri in comparison. The original BK&T version was of stainless and your battleship gray version is of 1095. Both models date from the BLKJK years.

Hank's BLKJK model is the most fearsome chopper in it's size and weight range as I have ever had in my hands....very scary indeed! It is a treasured possesion...

Thank you For the Question....

All Best
Ethan
