Old Bread Knife

Never seen a "bread" knife, I like it. So you used the gun blue stuff to remove the rust? I'm unclear on that...
 
I always liked those ol' bread knives. Much easier to touch up with sharpening rods than modern serration patterns, and smoother in the cut, if less aggressive at biting in at first. They do tend to be a little on the flimsy side, but their designated task wasn't exactly strenuous so it's kind of a non-issue, mostly.

It was really fast and easy. Pumice stones work really well for removing rust, and I didn't try to make it look like new or anything. I don't think I spent ten minutes cleaning up the blade.
