Old Buck 110

What kind of steel did they use in old buck 110's. I have one from my dad, has a leather belt sheath,2 brass pins on the handle, and one bigger silver pin on the handle. It seems to hold a good edge. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of steel it is?

Hi Scottman, Welcome to the Buck Forum. The pins in the handle you describe, sound like a pre-'81 110, so the steel used in the blade would be 440C.
