Old Buck 119 Information wanted

I picked up an old Buck 119 today. It only has one line on the knife. It says Buck and has a dot behind the k. There is no other lines saying 119 or USA. It came in a black leather sheath that has Buck stamped in a diagonal in gothic letters.

Any ideas on how old it is?

Your knife may be in need of some TLC . Buck's plant would be a nice resort for it to visit a few days . It should have the flap over sheath whereas the sheath it has is from 1980 . DM
 
Understand that when we say things like "1967," we mean that not precisely, but within a few months.

So you have a great old knife. You have started.

Now you should take the challenge to find one in this condition......this one is a 102 that is a bit older than yours, maybe a couple of years. We can tell because it has no asterisk after the Buck stamp.

I got this one very cheap on e-Bay. It had one blurry photo and was a total surprise.
