I found a knife store that has a couple of stockman and cadet models still in stock from before the move to Idaho. Price is in the mid 30 dollar range, I'm thinking of buying them. I am wondering if they are going to be collectors items in the future?

I think that's a bit high from an "investor's" standpoint. What's more, if someone's looking for USER 301, I'd nudge 'em toward a new model. That way they can be sure it's Buck-made rather than a Camillus contracted one. They'd also get blades with the Edge2x edge.

That price is a little high for pre-Idaho knives, I still find them around here in stores for 24.95.

I doubt that anytime soon they will be collectable beyond Buck collector's, to many were made, and they are still being made in Idaho.

Might be collector's WAY inthe future if Buck drops them from the line-up completely someday.

If these are new old stock in yellow boxes, unused, and say Made in USA on Tang with the model number on reverse or no model number they are worth a small amount more if th moon is full and the wind is right. Otherwise you are just buying Cami made stockman that will need to be left mint on a shelf for the next 20 years or so increase in value. Now at 20 bucks I probably could'nt walk away without at least one in my hand..
