I recently picked up an old Camillus lockback knife. It looks similar to knives I've seen on E-bay,being that it has a regular foldout blade and a screwriver that locks back.
It is the identical knife as the new line Camillus Electricians knife.Except I know it is many decades old.It has a Nickel/silver plate on the side of a wooden handle that reads..TL-29..Blade stamped ..Camillus ..over Cutlery, and a illedgible #..over ..something else Illedgible.
Where can I find Info on this knife.??
Sorry to go on on and fellas..:-)

Hey there Chris. Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you have "tool lineman" knife. They were produced during WWII by several manufacturers, including Camillus. They were sold with a variety of handle materials, bone, wood, or plastic scales. Also the blades were originally carbon steel, with the newer ones being stainless. They were issued to Signal Corps linemen for laying wire and hooking up the field telephones in both the Army and the Navy. In fact they are
still being issued today.

Hope this helps you out some. Thanks to the May 2001 issue of Tactical Knives.
