Was rummaging through the garage, and found this old knife!

From what I've been able to get off the internet, Ka-Bar/Camillus/Becker made some knives for the USMC? Something like that, but that's about all I know.

So what is this precisely and maybe even if it's worth anything to a collector?

Well, it ain't a Becker! :D

Moving to the Camillus Collector's Forum...

Jet pilots survival knife. 1957 to sometime in this new century. Military issue item. The new style knife “ASEK” became available for service in 2003. I’m not sure exactly when procurement of the JPSK ended.

That is an air crewman knife...they had a tan leather sheath with a sharpening stone pouch on the front...I used to use an abuse one.

Here's one that's a little older...

And a more recent one...

It looks like the leather washer handles on yours have shrunk up some. Do you have the sheath for it?

It looks like the blade might be a bit short. Worth? Not a whole lot in present condition, although the 1971 date is a little more desirable from an age standpoint. I've seen ones in decent shape go anywhere from $15-$50.

I do not have the sheath for it anymore
:(

Alas, perhaps I'll sell it at a garage sale or something if it isn't worth a whole lot in its current condition

They are fun knives to use. They take a fair amount of abuse.
