I have alot of old cartoons that I like to watch, and many that are no longer around.

I once recorded all of the Flintstones series from 1961 through to 1965 on VHS and transfered them all to DVD. I can watch these over and over and they still make me laugh.

Of course Beavis and Butthead. I still watch them sometimes late at night at the camp when the whiskey bottle is on the go.

Then there are those from way back when I was a kid that are nowhere to be found.

Captain Kangaroo. He would start the show using his big key ring to unlock the big door. There was Mr. Moose and Rabbit. Then there was Mr. Green Jeans the farmer.
I liked Tom Terrific the guy with the funnel cap who would blow off steam and fly around. That was one of the side line cartoons of Captain Kangaroo.

Anyone remember Rocket ship 7, that was aired out of Buffallo about the time when the moon missions were flying? I liked the Captain and his robot Promo, and Biff Beeper the dog.

Every saturday I would watch Speed Racer with his fancy Mach 5 car that did just about everything.

Of course there was bugs bunny and the road runner show. I would have liked to have seen that poor coyote get his road runner.

So what were your past cartoon experiences?

On some cable company provide bloomberg tv which shows classic cartoon like the jetson, flinstone, scobby, and those old classic. Call and ask your company to provide. My favorite was Johnny Quest and Richie Rich

What about farmer gray and popeye and betty boop. Winky dink, precursor to tom terrific where you drew on the screen, the first interactive television. And don't forget Crusader Rabbit. Haven't watched since my kid grew up.
WHere are the snowdens of yesteryear?

Commander Tom Joles (he was also a talking head for the local news on Channel 7, too). That was not a short while ago!

ROcky, Bullwinkle and Friends were to me the best in that they have gotten funnier as I grew up and grew older.

What a nostalgia trip! I've always been partial to the Road Runner. I've always thought I'd call my knife endeavor "Acme Metalwork". :D But no one would get it except you old codgers.

What about those old monster movies?! Anyone remember Die, Monster, Die! or Hideous Sun Demon? What's happened to Saturday afternoons, anyway? For what it's worth, early Saturday morning IFC shows B&W samurai movies. They're great!

But nothing like Captain Kangaroo & Mr Greenjeans, I admit it.

I was on the Howdy Doody show once. When he asked me a question I just looked at the floor and mumbled something unintelligible, and he moved on.

You guys shouldn't watch this stuff all the phycologists say it will warp your mind. Way to much violence and stereo typing. You should watch the new and improved cartoons that they have approved so you will be well adjusted like todays youth.
