I have a old case lock back folding hunter. It has always been tough as hell to release the lock, or press it in. As my hands have gotten older I can't work it any more. Ism there a fix for this or does anyone here do that kind of work? I love the old knife

Jim, is it a P157 or Mako? I might be able to help as I have a couple, one of which I've had apart and back together. Is it just the lock that's getting stiff or the pivot also? Do you have a micrometer or dial caliper to take measurements on it? Your climate in SD is kinda dry, have you oiled it before?

A hot soapy bath (dawn) and flush under hot running water while working the lock could help.

It says m1051lssp On the blade. Here is a picture.

I will try the hot soapy water fix too. Thanks guys.
