Old Case ID please......?

One of the guys here in UK was give this by his Grandad, so fairly old - any ideas please guys n gals......?

If it's 3 5/8 inches closed it's likely a 6285 pattern of 1920-1940 manufacture.

A slight variation is a good way to put it. I believe it's still considered a Doctor's knife. My research implies that the Case 85 pattern Doctor's knives were made with either a Spatula or a Pen blade. Both variants are the 85 pattern.

Agree with Rick, Dr patterns generally have the spatula coupled with a long Spear, but seen Pens too likely a pill-cutter In fact, I often use a Pen blade for that.

Nice old Redbone too, like the tangstamp and longpull on that one
