Old Case Knife

So I was given a Case knife from my dad after my grandpa died. It had been in his tackle box. Dad said that he remembers grandpa buying it from his brother in law in the 50s. Looking for any information on it, model, age?
Any help would be appreciated.
The sheath is original as well as the handle. No marks except the Case stamp. Blade is 5" OAL is 8.75

Looks like a Bird & Trout (B&T).
Is the handle stacked leather?

A close-up of the tang stamp will help those more knowledgeable than I to date it.

The only marking on it is the Case right in front of the bolster plate
