OK, guys, here goes. Smooth Red Bone: SR 6220 (1 dot), SR42027 (8 dot), S46225 1/2 (10 dot), S46244 (10 dot), S46347 1/2 (10 dot) and S463047 (1 dot). All the numbers and dots are as accurate as possible due to 55 year old eyes. 2 Stockmen 3 blades, jigged bone, one 10 dot, one 7 dot, one rounded ends one square ends. 1 large trapper, 3 dot, jigged bone. 1 Moose, 4 dot, jigged bone. And one Case 3 dot smooth palamino bone Barlow pattern. All are uncarried and unsharpened, never used. There is some tarnish due to age. I also found my old 2 dot Muskrat with jigged bone that I carried for years. I got it cleaned up and shaving sharp, and it's nice to have it back. These knives were "lost" for 15 years. I uncovered them last week, and would appreciate your input as to value, collectibility, etc. Sorry, but I don't have any way to do pictures. I look forward to your expertise. Wewaslim.

wewaslim,
You will get oodles of information on this subject if you repost this in the "Bernard Levine Collectors and Identification forum" We are very fortunate to have his expertise on hand in our little community here at BF.com. There are some rules in that forum that Mr. Levine asks that you READ FIRST and follow that are listed in the 'stickys' at the top of the forum page. If you follow that step by step process you are bound to get all the answers and information that you could ever need on those fine old Case XX knives that you have.

All the Best..

Correct Pattern Numbers Ad Years Made:

SR6220 Peanut....1 Dot 1979
SR62027 Small Jack.....8 Dot 1982
SR6225-1/2 Coke Bottle....10 Dot 1980
SR6244 Jack....10 Dot 1980

By the way, the handle code "SR" means "Satin Rose"...a smooth red bone introduced by Case in 1979.

Some of the others I have ideas on but not enough info....the SR63047 and SR6347-1/2....double check the pattern numbers on these...

And on the others, are there pattern numbers?

For anyone to establish values, we need correct tang stampings and pattern numbers.

Some more info: The two smooth rose bone stockmen 3 blades are SR 6347 1/2 and SR46037. 6392 Jigged Bone Stockman; 6275 SP Jigged bone Moose; 6254 Jigged bone Trapper; 6347 SP jigged bone stockman and 62009 1/2 smooth bone palamino Barlow. None of the 10 ever sharpened or carried; some minor tarnishing to frame.

Okay...can you put the number of dots for each of these? and you have a SR63047 and a SR6347 1/2.....do both of these have smooth red bone handles? Do they both have polished blades? Does either have a shield?

Do any of your knives have SS on any blade tang or the word "STAINLESS" anywhere?

Knifeaholic: 47 has 1 dot, 47 1/2 has 10 dots, both are smooth rose bone, both have polished blades, no shield on either, none of the knives are stainless, all carbon steel. Thanks for your patience and help. Wewaslim Also, spoke with my wife; we will try to take digital pix and get them ready to email to you.
