Ok, I've heard your pleas, and lo, I have suffered mightily to try to make things better for you.

So, <a href="http://www.bladeforums.com/cgi/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Temporary+Community+Center&number=36&DaysPrune=5&LastLogin=">Click Here</a> and tell me how this looks on your 640x480 screens. Hopefully this will eliminate the scrolling complaints, if not, I'll figure something else out.

Spark. you are genius! i switched my resolution to 640x480 and it looked pretty good. it looks pretty good with 800x600 as well.
 
I've gotten tired of netscape crashing all the time along with the scrolling. I've downloaded IE5 now things are really looking up as much as I hate to say so. Me thinks IE5 might just be a better product than netscape. Now just to figgure out how IE5 works.
 
Hmmm.. it seems that the more updates Netscape does, the more unstable it becomes. I noticed random crashes on my end too, and I'm using WinNT as OS.

It seems that NS 4.7 is indeed a lot more unstable than all the previous releases, I find it crashes most often when I have Eudora open at the same time...

Anyhow, do all of you guys have 640x480 screen resolution, or are you looking at it in 800x600 or higher? I need the opinions of those using 640x480 primarily...

and it looks fine. you may think "Wait, everything looks fine." but there are many sites that don't use percentages for the tables and space it perfertly for 640X480 or 800X600... which really makes me mad... you're doin' a great job, Spark.
 
Ummm, I don't get it. Why the link to the community forum? I think what is slow for me is actually waiting for that store/links/calendar icon to load. The scrolling doesn't seem to be a problem like before. Must be an act of God or Spark I guess.

Howie, the link to the community forum is there so you can see what the screen looks like with the navigation on the right side.

That would solve most of your left-right scrolling....

As for slow downloads, that's another issue.

I agree with Howie...the icons/page header is what I have to wait on the most. For some reason, whenever I click on a different forum/thread/icon, it has to load the header and icons twice.
