Old Crafty is a name used on some knives by Sears years ago.
i would like to know which patterns received this name and if this was a single or multiple year offering from Sears.
i recently received an 8OT Old Crafty from an ebay seller. he threw in 4 other knives, all in good condition, one of which is the Schrad/Walden in pics below.
it lacks the "e" and has no pattern #.
note also the much longer swedge(both sides) on Crafty.
and "from mom for my 72 birthday" wow ! what a terrific mom !
any comments/info/dates on these 2 will be much appreciated.
thanks, roland

Not sure what years, i have a 8OT like yours and a Barlow model marked OLD CRAFTY, those are the only ones i've seen. happy collecting,G.M

Sorry i spoke to soon,i just saw a 34OT model OLD CRAFTY over on Trents special give away. Larry has one over there.

That Sears #9547 dates to circa 1966. Sears used that trademark for a long time on several patterns including some from Camillus, later as a blade etch rather than shielding.
