I feel like somebody here can help me out on this. Had a customer at the Gun/Knife Show a couple weeks ago bring some older CRK with him to show me. This is what he had:

Project I(1991) Hexagon butt Cap/sawteeth, original sheath....this one is mint and is missing the "night index".

Left Hand Sebenza This is an early 90's model with a polished blade, thick handle with the "half moon" engraving I believe. it has "H85" on it also.

Anyway, I'm not trying to sell these, but trying to find out for him and myself if theese really hold any collector value at all or any kind of appreciation in value because of the age. The blades were in mint shape and he was wanting me to buy them from him, but I had to pass. Anyway, I will probably see him again at another show and wanted to be able to provide him with some decent info.

Any help here guys?

I am no help on the Proj 1, but the H85 on the early Sebenza stands for Handmade, 85 a serial number. If it truly is a handmade it should bring a premium.

The fellow who owns these knives emailed us direct and, for everyone's interest, here is my answer to him. He is trying to find a way to let us have a picture of the Sebenza - it would be interesting to see it!

The Project I that you have would probably not we worth a whole lot more than the $299 that we ask now. Or perhaps I should say you could get more for it, provided you could find a collector to whom the age and missing night index anomaly are important. I don't think we have been in the business long enough to have too many of those kinds of collectors yet!

The handmade Sebenza, however, should get you quite a bit more than the $425 we would get for a large left hand unique graphic Sebenza now. Chris was not even certain that he had decorated any of the "H" Sebenzas and, it being left handed, it is quite likely the only one. You wouldn't by any chance be able to send us a picture of it, would you!? It should be worth
at least $525 - $600 but again, it would need a specific person to whom the age and uniqueness are important.
