This is my CS SRK in Carbon V that I bought back in 1989/90. It has been used a lot over the years and the black blade coating is pretty much uniformly gone. Does anyone know what kind of coating these knives had back in the day?

Actually, the very earliest SRKs were Parkerized. Epoxy powder coating followed with the next generation. Given your purchase time frame, your sheath, and what I can see of your blade's coloring, I think your model was Parkerized.
