old dagger

Hello, i'am new to this site. i picked up a damascus dagger marked c.h. guerre alangres, and has a touchmark what looks like a crown over a five pointed maltise cross. i am wondering if someone could give me a little info. thank you. Doug. I can post pics. when i find out how to.
