Old Delica info

I was given an old AUS 6 SE Delica after I showed him my collection and he recalled having a knife with a hole and serrations. He said if he found it he'd give it to me.
He is guessing he was gifted it about 17 years or so ago. Sound about right? Doesn't appear to be any special edition and has been used for sure
It does have some side to side play and the lock bar does not seat fully when open. Can I improve the lockup at all?

The SS Delica was made in AUS-6 from '96 till around '05. The earliest ones were RH tip down only, like yours. That changed, at some point, to them being drilled for both tip up and tip down RH carry. Probably around 2000, but it's hard to for sure, as the older catalogs give somewhat conflicting answers. As for the lock up, aside from the obvious - checking the lock notch in the blade for crud - there's probably not much you can do.
