I have a couple of old F1's, German made with ATS-34 blades, that I'm considering putting a convex edge on. While I've watched videos of convex shapening, I'm not sure about reprofiling. No power machinery available but I have lots of sandpaper. Any tips for a do it yourself effort or perhaps sending them out for reprofiling?

Check out virtuovice channel on youtube on convexing. He's using sandpaper and leather strops with great results.

Those are collectibles if in good shape!
I think they are better off, if preserved in original shape but they were made to be used, so I can understand if You convex them.
