So, I went to a pawn shop because I needed some files for sharpening my tools. I thought they were still decent, I ran my thumb against the grain so to speak and they grabbed decent. Well I tried them and they are shot... So, if anyone is interested in them, pm me. I can send pictures or attach them here if there is interest.

Jimmy,
Not sure what you want here, but this forum is we discuss making knives and such.

Filling out your profile might be a good thing, BTW, as no one knows where you are.

I'll leave this thread open for a while to see what you are doing, but unless there is some knifemaking content or other clarity, I will close it.

If you are offering then as give-always, this should have been made clear. Info, sizes, and photos would be needed.

I apologize for any confusion. I was trying to give a brief explanation of why I don't want the files. Yes I'm looking to get rid of them/give away. I can and will post pictures tonight when I get home. I'm in Washington state, I cannot fill out my profile through my phone so I will do that tonight as well.

Ok, that is good. Anyone wanting some old files to paly with should email Jimmy. All shipping and other details should be person to person.

Um, Jimmy, you haven't enabled email, so you will have to post your contact info or fill that in in your profile and settings.

14" file, 6" level for a reference

just for future reference, files can be sharpened for less than the cost of new files. Boggs Tool & File does a pretty good job, and they are probably not the only vendor that can sharpen files

Thanks for that information, I'll keep that in mind. I didn't throw them away though, another member asked for them to repurpose into knives and I sent them off.
