Patsy & I recently returned from a short trip to N.C. to visit my 96 yo aunt Janice.Had good visit & dined my way.Took chili & homemade pimento cheese & was well recieved.
Lunched at Colonial;Patsy enjoyed fresh trout & veggies & I had pulled pork,collards,baked beans & corn muffins . Wow.
Brought back a country ham,6 packs of barbeque,& 3 pounds of smoked bacon . Yum-yum ! Oh yeah, two 12 layer chocolate cakes & 1 16 layer special.
For the unitiated, this plus fresh collards , black eyes &cornbread basically comprises our southern menus. Cheap gas was a big +.
