Does anyone have any info on this: Endura with G-2 steel and molded in pocket clip?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
I'm also open to trades if anyone wants this knife.

Thanks,
Lucas

I believe that's a first generation Endura, although not certain. A lot more can be found out on the spydiewiki page here.

Also, this isn't the right forum to advertise trades, the correct forum would be the Knife Trade one, found here.

Also, you'll find it hard for people to contact you about trades if you don't attach an email to your bladeforum handle.

Color of the handle and is it fully serrated, partial serrated or plain edge?

Here is a beater G-2 Endura I got off of eBay for $10. The plastic clip was missing, so I got a steel clip with self-tapping screws from Spyderco for about $8. Fun little fixer upper for not much money.

My first Endura was one I bought at an Air Force base BX in '92 or '92. As I was opening the package, the clip was hooked on the cardboard piece inside. The clip snapped off before I finished getting it out of the package. Kept it a few years, sold it most cheap cheap. But I've had many Spydercos since.

How wide is the plastic clip, the first ones had a thin zytel clip, but it evolved into a wider clip. My G-2 Endura will be twenty this year, it was my first Spyderco and I still carry it every day.

I'm suprised your clip broke that easy. I've got one from the early 90's and haven't broke the clip yet. The blade looks rough, but the clip and handle still look great.

I recall buying my first G2 Endura at a gun & knife show in 92 for $32. Considering the upgrades, the more expensive steel and inflation along with dollar to Yen changes the current price for a FFG VG10 Endura is pretty darn good. They have done an excellent job at keeping the price down over the years.

I still have mine and it is carry able but I do prefer the newer models. The VG10/FFG combo is an excellent one with the heat treat and hardness levels. It takes a great edge and sharpens very easily. I guess that's why I still EDC an Endura 21 years later. :)
